Now that we are all on the same page as to what LOL is all about and the basic idea behind it, letвЂ™s dive into scripting. Knowing your opponent builds and adjusting accordingly are what every seasoned player excels at. The build of these characters is key to a winning strategy and can have a massive effect on the outcome of the battle. They have unique imagery and are a large part of the fun in preparing to do battle. Each one has its own unique sets of attributes and can vary in its strengths, abilities, and personalities. These are the Champions, and they will determine the outcome of the battle. There are over 140 selectable characters that can be played by each team. Once they have sufficient power, they can maneuver into the enemy-controlled territory and shatter the Nexus, and bring victory and eternal glory to themselves and their kin! Once that gold is burning a hole in their pocket, the players can use it to power up their champion and begin to swing the momentum their way. Examples of tasks that they might see are rounding up minions, killing champions (those characters controlled by opponent players), and destroying the turrets that protect areas of the map. Those players are faced with a variety of tasks that they must complete, and upon doing so, are rewarded with gold. From there they will square off against the enemy and work to gain momentum. The teams assign locations within the map, with SummonerвЂ™s Rift being the most popular, to the players.
